純正状態で 510 馬力を発揮する AMG C63S（W205） ですが、このエンジン・ユニットの本当の実力は、さらに上のところにあります。弊社では愛知県岡崎市のヴィークル・フィールドさんにお願いして、 C63S の ECU を書き換え、さらなるパワーを手に入れています。結論から申し上げますと、出力は 630 馬力、トルクは 80 kg ちかくまでパワーアップを果たしている次第です。

しかし上記のパワーも、まだ向上の余地があります。もっと強力にできるのですが、これ以上の出力をしてしまうと、トランスミッションが滑り、負担を掛けてしまうために控えた結果です。（この問題を回避するために、強化トランスミッションを導入する方法がありますが、あまりにも高額です。）また C63S の場合、出力のアップに対してタイヤのグリップが追いつかないという問題もあります。

ECU のチューニングを施した C63S は、恐ろしい加速をします。また、２速、３速、４速でもアクセルを全開にすると、ホイールスピンをして、制御が介入されながら前に突き進んでいきます。いわゆるスポーツカー、スーパーカーと呼ばれるクルマと比較しても遜色ない加速ではないでしょうか。いわば後輪駆動の限界があるとしても、過言ではないと思います。

このチューニングを施すにあたっては、ディーラーの保証から外れてしまう可能性があります。また入庫したときに、エンジンユニットのプログラムを書き換えると、元の制御に上書きされてしまう恐れがありますのでご注意ください。その点にだけ気をつければ、最高の加速性能が得られます。なお比較対象として　Race Chip などがございますが、それよりも高い出力が得られるかと存じます。

However, there is still room for improvement in the above power. It can be made more powerful, but if the output is higher than this, the transmission will slip and put a burden on it, so this is a result of refraining from doing so. (There is a way to avoid this problem by introducing a reinforced transmission, but it is too expensive.) Also, in the case of C63S, there is also the problem that the tire grip can not keep up with the increase in output.

The ECU tuned C63S has terrifying acceleration. Also, if you fully open the accelerator in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th speed, the wheel will spin and you will push forward while the control intervenes. Isn’t it an acceleration comparable to that of so-called sports cars and supercars? It is no exaggeration to say that there is a limit to rear-wheel drive.

This tuning may void the dealer’s warranty. Also, please note that if you rewrite the program of the engine unit at the time of warehousing, the original control may be overwritten. If you pay attention only to that point, you can get the best acceleration performance. There is a Race Chip etc. as a comparison target, but I think that a higher output can be obtained.
